Your New Furniture Rug

Plus you need to figure out what rooms the rug will be walked on a lot, although most of these area rugs are made sturdy and will stand up well, plus the colors are made not to fade.

Use a staple gun to help you fasten the rug down to the table. Rugs are thicker than most regular material so you won’t need to put padding underneath the rug. Because you are using a staple gun you can easily pull the rug tight against the table to get the best results.

Using rugs to cover upholstered furniture – If you have upholstered furniture in your home that needs to be reupholstered, one way to do so is to use a rug. Because rugs are so thick, you can use them as upholstery material without having to use foam padding. You can use either upholstery nails or a staple gun to affix the rug to the upholstered furniture. If you want to do it quickly, use the staple gun and then use furniture upholstery nails as a decorative finish. The staples should never show.

Placing a rug in the kitchen can also serve another purpose besides making it look snazzy. It will also give you extra padding that may be needed if you stand on your feet a lot of the time. When you go to pick out a rug for your kitchen you need to pick out an area rug that will stand up to a lot of wear and tear. Find if you can get a carpet that has some extra backing to help out with your feet and standing. One of the best choices that you can make when getting out a kitchen rug is buy a backed sisal area rug.

Picking out an area rug for a kid’s room can be a lot of fun. You can pick out some really cool colors to add some great pop to their rooms. As far as a material that will be easy to clean you should look into a polypropylene area rug. Make sure to treat your new rug with stain resister. They also have some really cool cartoon area rugs, but you may want to think twice about this choice, because as your kids get older they will grow out of that stage.

Pick out different designs to make your house fantastic looking. But also make sure that it goes with the room so it doesn’t contrast too much. Get a rug that will work with the decor too.
